Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I wear?

A: Leggings/tights and leotard/sports top/t-shirt and a ballet skirt. Ensure you feel comfortable, can move with ease and layer up so you can regulate your body temperature accordingly. Ballet shoes and hair secured away from the face and neck.

Q: What do I bring?

A: Yourself, a bottle of water and a small towel.

Q: Do I need ballet shoes?

A: Ideally yes but a pair of grippy sport socks with start you off. The floor is your best friend so we need to feel it, but unless you want holes in your best socks, invest in a pair of ballet shoes.

Q: Does my age matter?

A: No! I have a range of ages in my class and I love that all feel welcome and enjoy taking classes with me. We can all improve whilst loving the practice itself. The ballet class is challenging no matter ones age or ability but being open to new experiences and a sense of humour are more important.

Q: What’s the right level for me?

A: First read the class descriptions here and then if you have a query drop me a message using the contact form here.

Q: Do you have barres and mirrors?

A: I have a combination of barres and chairs but no mirrors. Mirrors are not essential as you learn to feel the movement therefore working from the inside out.
